Part I · Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
In addition to the standard cancellation message presented during booking, the following terms apply to all Manhattan Tattoos LLC appointments:
- 1
Cancellations Forfeit the Deposit
All cancellations, for any reason and at any time, result in the automatic forfeiture of the deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.
- 2
Cancellations Within the Cut-Off Window
If a client cancels within the studio's posted reschedule/cancellation cut-off window, the deposit is forfeited and the client must submit a new deposit to book again.
- 3
Cancellations Outside the Cut-Off Window
Even when cancellations are made before the cut-off window, deposits remain non-refundable.
Canceling early does not qualify the client for a refund, credit, or transfer.
- 4
Failure to Attend ("No-Show")
Failure to appear at the scheduled appointment time without prior written notice is considered a cancellation and results in forfeiture of the deposit.
No-shows may also be required to pay the full appointment cost before future bookings will be accepted.
- 5
Client-Initiated Changes That Result in Cancellation
If the client requests significant design changes, reduces the scope of work, or otherwise alters the appointment in a way that the studio cannot reasonably accommodate, the request may be treated as a cancellation and the deposit will be forfeited.
- 6
Appointment Time Cannot Be Shortened or Split
If the client cancels a portion of the planned work, reduces the session duration, or requests to split a booked session into separate dates, this is considered a cancellation of the original appointment.
The original deposit is forfeited and a new deposit may be required for further bookings.
- 7
Emergencies, Illness, Travel Issues, or Unforeseen Events
Cancellations due to illness, emergencies, travel delays, work obligations, weather, or circumstances outside of the studio's control are treated the same as any other cancellation.
The deposit is forfeited with no exceptions.
This ensures fairness and equal treatment for all clients.
- 8
Studio-Initiated Cancellations
If the studio must cancel or reschedule for any reason, the deposit will be honored and transferred to the newly scheduled date.
The studio will never penalize a client for a cancellation initiated by the studio.
- 9
Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment, submitting a deposit, or reserving a time slot, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the studio's full Cancellation and Deposit Policies.
Part II · Deposit Policy
Deposit Policy
By booking an appointment with Manhattan Tattoos LLC, advertising as Manhattan Tattoos NYC ("the Studio"), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms form a binding agreement between you ("the Client") and the Studio. These policies apply to all appointments without exception.
- 1
Non-Refundable Deposit — No Exceptions
All bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure the appointment time.
All deposits are non-refundable under every circumstance, without exception. This includes but is not limited to: client cancellation for any reason; client rescheduling within the cut-off period; client illness, injury, or medical issues; weather conditions or transportation issues; work or travel conflicts; changes of mind regarding the tattoo, placement, size, or design; failure to respond to communication; any circumstances outside of the studio's control.
No refunds, partial refunds, credits, or transfers of any kind will be issued for deposits. This ensures fairness and equal treatment for all clients.
- 2
Rescheduling Rules
Clients may reschedule only if the request is submitted before the studio's posted reschedule cut-off window (as shown on the booking page).
Each appointment may be rescheduled a maximum of two (2) times per deposit.
After the second reschedule, the deposit is automatically forfeited, and a new deposit is required to make any additional changes or to rebook.
Failure to reschedule before the cut-off window automatically forfeits the deposit.
- 3
Cancellations
Canceling an appointment for any reason results in automatic forfeiture of the deposit. This applies regardless of the timing of cancellation.
If the client cancels or fails to appear ("no-show"), the appointment is considered canceled and the deposit is forfeited.
- 4
Appointment Modifications and Design Changes
If the client requests major changes to the design, style, size, placement, or concept that significantly alter the original scope of work, the studio may require a new appointment, require a new deposit, or refuse the change if time does not permit.
Significant changes made too close to the appointment date may be treated as a cancellation.
- 5
Late Arrivals and No-Shows
Clients arriving 15 minutes or more past the scheduled appointment time may be considered a no-show at the studio's discretion. In most cases, the time a client is late past the 15-minute grace period will simply count towards their allocated time.
If the artist is late, the artist will offer the client time at the end, or another day as fair compensation.
No-shows automatically forfeit the deposit and may require full payment before booking future appointments.
- 6
Client Responsibilities and Accuracy of Information
The client is solely responsible for: providing accurate contact information; checking appointment confirmations and reminders; arriving prepared with valid ID; ensuring they meet all health and eligibility requirements (not pregnant, etc.).
Failure to meet these requirements is treated as a cancellation, and the deposit is forfeited.
- 7
Chargebacks, Disputes, and Contract Enforcement
Deposits are a contracted, non-refundable booking fee for reserving professional time.
In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute, this policy along with booking logs and communication will be submitted as evidence.
If a chargeback is filed in violation of these terms and the studio incurs costs, the client agrees to reimburse the studio for all losses, fees, and costs permitted by law.
If legally allowed in the relevant claim, the client agrees to be responsible for reasonable attorney's fees, court filing fees, and collection costs incurred by the studio in enforcing these policies.
- 8
Limitation of Liability
The studio is not liable for any damages, losses, or costs arising from the client's inability to attend the appointment, schedule conflicts, unexpected events or emergencies, or any situation beyond the studio's control.
The studio's maximum liability for any claim related to a deposit is strictly limited to the amount of the original deposit paid.
- 9
No Transferability
Deposits are tied to one specific client, appointment, artist, date and time, and design concept.
Deposits cannot be transferred to another person, another project, or another appointment type.
- 10
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York.
Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising from this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in New York County, New York, unless prohibited by law.
The client agrees to submit to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.
- 11
Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment, submitting a deposit, or confirming a time slot, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms listed in this policy without exception.
This policy applies to all appointments booked online, in person, via email, or by any other method.
